What if you are terminated for mis-logging personal conveyance of over a hundred miles, but had no accidents/ tickets or bad interactions with shippers & clients (but have less than 3 months experience to use in reference..?

Allegedly the past employer is saying I am not rehire able even tho I did not get told that, said I could come back after 1 year of error free driving in keeping my logs correct… I was told today the company said I’m not rehireable…

Go apply to companies, when the issue is brought up, tell them the company didn’t take any corrective actions for the logging mistakes and fired you instead of giving you a second chance.

Move on and apply to other companies. If you have a bad experience with the company, how long before they find another reason to fire you a second time.

They should also ask if the past employer is eligible for re-employer status.

i mean seriously, how many jobs have you left that you would go back to? I’ve always left for a reason, there was never a rearview mirror. I’d never take a step backwards like that.

Honestly more truck drivers need to lawyer up in some of these situations. We get abused enough by the system, when we leave a job, it shouldn’t be allowed to follow us because some disgruntled office personnel tags are record.

when I cleaned my truck out at my first truck driving job, the recruiter was the one who left my review, “left under dispatch” well considering I was 22 days late for the 20th consecutive time for home time and the load that was dispatch was running 48 hours behind meaning I would’ve had to of sit on the yard for two days, and probably only paid for one of them, I decided to clean my truck out and go home. “Quit under dispatch“. If I ever see that guy, I’m challenging him to a parking lot fist brawl. Lol and I ain’t kidding.

That guy did you a favour. From now on if that even comes up in an interview you already know you don’t want to work there. That system isn’t BS anymore if YOU use it to disqualify Mickey Mouse employers. There’s good driving jobs to be had. Just not at those kind of companies.
