This would solve your problem quite nicely.

Well who the hell has time to read the specs oh those pieces of #### anyways. I Only use mine to charge my phone and tablet.

If you need 1000w continuous at 120 AC volts, you are going to be putting a hardcore drain on those truck batteries. To get that kind of power out of the inverter, you're going to have to feed it around 85 amps at 12 DC volts. That's a lot of power. Probably upwards of 60-75% of what an average alternator puts out.

    How much to install it?
Because unless you know exactly what you are doing, you need a professional to do it correctly.

It would be bad to die by fire because you hacked it in.

Get a laptop. It'll charge off a 150W inverter that plugs into a 12V socket. Desktop gaming is for a desk's top.

And if you are working 14 hours a day, how are you finding time to game? I took my laptop with me this week, all loaded up with games, ready to go, and didn't get a single chance to even open the dam thing.

I use appliances (a toaster oven and a grill) that draw nearly 1,000W with the 1,800W inverter in my truck.
It has a voltage meter so I can see what is available.

Not a problem with the truck idling, it stays fairly steady.
It is not continuous once they heat up, but the voltage does not fluctuate more than .1V with the 'on' cycles.

Running a powerful desktop computer with a large power supply in gaming mode for hours might be different.
At an idle the alternator is not generating as much current, so you might be pushing the limits.

    It is called time management.

How often do we actually work 14 hours a day?
Personally I limit my time to about 9-10 hours a day so I don't have to take a 34. I hate taking a 34 and would rather average my hours so I can run on recap hours forever, until my next home time.
So I normally have more like 12-14 hours off.
And that leaves time for some gaming, or watching a few shows.

I prefer running miles and being home on weekends. But you do you I guess. At least at home I get 150 mpbs.

I'm OTR, so I don't get home on weekends. I'm out for 4-5 weeks between home times.

And it is how I like it.
But I don't run hard miles if I can help it. I like it slow and steady, with enough time off at the end of the day to actually relax, watch a few shows, play a game or two, and/or whatever.

My 'trucker lifestyle' isn't about making miles, working hard, pushing the limit, getting the most money.
It is about doing something I enjoy, as long as I can enjoy doing it.
