Not enough voltage for desktop gaming computer

I'm out OTR for 3-8 weeks at a time and maybe get 1 34hr reset

 

a real fridge (not a cooler) will run 18-36 hr's before you need to run the truck. A 900 watt mirco will kill your batteries in 3-5 min if you don't run the truck. House type window AC may... MAY run a few hours as with a small heater.

 

You will have to run the truck for the batteries to keep up, buy a apu.

 

Doesn't make any difference wether you do parked resets or not. 70 in 8 is 70 in 8. There's a fixed amount of down time (non-working), no matter how you slice it. You're "resetting" (stopped and off duty a minimum fixed amount of time) whether you realize it or not.

 

The size of the invertor 1,500- 2,000- 2,500-3,000 is how much power they CAN put out.

The size ( capacity) of your batteries determines how long they can put out that much power

A 3,000 watt invertor will not run a 700 watt micro any longer than a 1,500 invertor will and some

Some Electronics just don't like DIRTY power ( modified Saleen wave) and will not work on it. I've had pronters, laptops, dvd players that WILL NOT WORK in the truck but are fine in the house

 

Actually, I've had 2 reefer jobs, 1 being in a sleeper. One of the best ways to make money when I ran reefer was to lump my own freight. You'd be surprised how often you can lump a load to their specifications in an hour or two when the lumper service will take twice as long because they're juggling all the other trucks ahead of you.

I've made $100 per hour on a dock doing relatively easy work. Find out how many skids the load breaks down into. Sometimes you just shorten the skids by a layer and it's totally worth doing yourself if you get paid for that work.

One reason I got out of that whole game was uncompensated downtime. I wish you luck making that situation tolerable.

 

Yes. My Inverter runs off batteries. At present my APU doesn’t work. I have to idle for now.

 

A 2k gaming rig won't pull 1500 watts.


You're trying to feed something that needs clean power with dirty power.

Leave the desktop at home and drive.

 

just an FYI guys, I have a Mac Pro with a gtx-590 video card and at IDLE that video card pulls 150 Watts, at full throttle it will top out at 300 watts. This is a gaming card and isn’t as bad as the couple of the later models I have used, so yes it can top out over 1250 Watts.

 

With quad sli maybe.
