If you’re not driving for a company I don’t see who would request a random drug test. There is none if your not working. Just having CDL doesn’t mean you have to do radom drug test.

Your wife would not want you to stop living your life or not be happy ever again. Take some time off and see how you feel in awhile.

If its a benzodiazepine like alprazolam or clonazepam, its not tested for.

I sure as hell wouldn’t take one within a week of driving though.

Yeah take some time off, collect your thoughts. No need to make quick decisions just yet.

The VA had me on some meds that kept me from driving for 3 years until they figured out what was wrong and gave me something else that allowed it after they figured it out. Believe it or not, I am actually allergic to myself. I saw somewhere north of 20 different doctors, biopsies, I was photographed and videoed and written up in some medical journal, and the only time Ive had to stay over night in the hospital. Once the doctor clears you, there is no problem going back (medically anyways). It took them 3 years to figure it out.

Bean Jr. and Bud A. Thank this.
