Celadon is not a perfect company, but It's not the worst company to work for either. I still work for celadon, the people have for the most part been very nice, and respectful to me. (i got a rude person on the phone last week, I will assume she was just having a bad day). But the miles at celadon for MOST drivers suck! I talk to drivers almost every day, most feel lucky to get 2000 miles in a week. Let me tell you, a 3200 mile week does not make up for several weeks in a row of 1500 to 2000 miles. I NEVER turned down a load, and I was NEVER late for a delivery. I now team, and the miles are really up and down. Teams usually average 5000 to 6000 per week. But I guess we are in yet another "slow" period. 2nd week of July we did less than 4000 miles, 3rd week of July we did less than 3000 miles, 4th week of July we did 7800 miles. Came back from time off last Tuesday, and by Friday we'd both taken un-needed restarts, but we finished the week with just under 5500 miles. and we are steadily moving again. there are just a lot of slow periods with celadon. But I'm sure gonna miss the vacations when we leave.

New here, and have 6 yrs. as a Celadon company driver. After a freeze on raises, cut by 40% on bonuses, and suspension of 401k 25% of 5% match has been lifted I'm happy I stayed to weather the storm. Good pay, good miles, good equipment. I notice some who complain have left and returned several times, why come back if it's so bad? I like always driving a new truck, paid weeks off, as well as regular 3 day weekends once every 3-6 weeks, getting repairs as needed, and runnin' and runnin'.
