You would still have to average 44.6 MPH.....that's harder than you think , unless you plan on having a really good pulling truck/light loads....hard to do that!

Its never consistent, you work till the works done, sometimes it takes 10h45m, sometimes you're only rolling 4 hours. For example a few days ago I had a load that was about 15 hours of drive time from the delivery. Had the shipper loaded me on time I could have knocked it out with a couple 8 and a half hour drives. But being a reefer puller I'll be detained on the way to my own funeral. Shipper spent about 4 hours getting me loaded, which means I had to run like a mad dog to keep my delivery window on time. It is what it is.

Try Navajo, running coast to coast. You'll get some down time waiting on loading/unloading, Maybe run hard one day then not so hard the next, no pressure as long as you make the appointments.
Edit: Stay out of the shop! WitchingHour doesn't need advice! He doesn't tell you how to drive, so you don't tell him how to fix the stuff you break!Last edited: Mar 15, 2014

And if you go to Navajo, don't be bothering me in the shop. My patience with drivers wears thin quickly at this job.

I run monday through friday home every night and hit 3,000 consistently and if I stay out a night I can hit 3500 - 3600. Granted, I have a 68mph truck, but it can be done with a slower truck if you stay in it and don't stop at every truck stop. You just have to look at it a different way. If its going to take you 16hrs to get some where, drive 10-11 hours then lay over and the next day you only have 5-6 hours the drive so you can take your time. 10 hours 1 day and 6 hours the next still averages to 8 a day.

My buddy works for Crete. Sticks mostly to an 8.5 hour day for recap purposes, makes 34cpm is usually very close to or over 3k miles a week (at 62 mph). He goes the extra mile and works hard and smart for that though.
