The Manchester, TN one is hiring. That's all growth though, the new DC has only been open about a year and a half.

 

I just got my CDL here in ca.I took the test while I was getting my permit.school gave us a completion letter for the hazmat course before going down for our permit.after getting permit I went for finger prints.when I passed DMV road test my hazmat results were already in the system.I had my twice card before I even started school.I got the impression you thought you had to wait to get twice and hazmat.

The process for hazmat will vary from state to state.

What REALLY matters: you have that hazmat endorsement before you start applying for CDL jobs, as a rookie driver.

An ability to pass a government security clearance is always a nice selling point -- especially in the current CDL job market.

Varies by state. I got mine in GA in 2011 and had doubles and tank on permit. Did the haz stuff in school and got it the day I got my cdl.
