    Confidence?

What happened to the driving the big tonka truck toy for FUN!?

It's FUN. Right? For me it was a ball for years. It would be decades before it stopped being fun under dispatch hiterlism.. I went through a number of them before I found maybe three or four that I will run hell and high water for. And that's a very very rare thing.

I love that TED talk! I never think I'm worthy of belonging places like she felt when she was in school. I'll have to do those poses before my test :)

What is this 'fun' you speak of? :p I mean I think it will be fun eventually...I'm just too stressed out right now. I've had fun moments when I do something right! As long as I can reach the clutch in the truck I'm in without basically standing in my seat, I'm a happy camper haha

One thing the examiner will be looking for is confidence. If you spend the whole test sweating like a wh*re in church, it won't help your situation.

Just take deep breaths and focus on what you have to do that minute. Not whatever is next on the test. Not sure how many get outs you're allowed in your state, but use them. If you think the truck is where it needs to be but you still have a get out and look to use, use it! They don't give out style points for getting the trailer in the hole in one motion. Also, remember to turn the wheel in small increments and use proper clutch control when backing. If you go to far one way or the other, you'll be able to spot it in time and correct it. As mentioned above, be confident in yourself and the work you've put in thus far.

If by chance you don't get it the first time... big deal. Company X isn't going to see that you didn't pass the first time. And guess what, you'll have to test all over again once you get to their yard. Only this time you have to forget 90% of what you just learned and do everything their way.

I didn't pass I did a great pre-trip and driving on the track at the DVS was fine, but the backing was horrible...I don't know what went wrong. I needed like 3 pull ups on the off set and alley, and then I had encroachment on all of them.
