I'am a true believer and I read and study the Bible daily and I agree with you 100%.These guys think they are doing GOD's work when they are just making a hard heart a little harder. If someone needs a excuse not to believe the truth and dislike Christians they are providing it.
I know Little Debbies are owned by devout Seven Day Adventist and they will not let their drivers work on saturday.I used to drive for a company that hauled their freight and we was supposed to shut down as well.

I have seen some flat bed companys that can get you home for the weekends.
Though 15% have had to work 2 weeks to get a couple days off.
Try Mav. they get over 85% home every weekend, but of course there are times they just can't do for obvious reasons. -
When a company tells you that you will be home on weekends. It means that you will be in your driveway somewhere between 8 pm on Friday night & 3 am Saturday morning. You get to the spend all day Saturday at home. Sunday you better be back in that truck & rolling so you can arrive at the consignee, get a decent night rest, & be ready to unload at 6 am Monday morning!
If that schedule doesn't fit you, then stay at McDonald's!!Roadmedic Thanks this. -
Did you miss the part where I said I agree with you 100%? -

CH 12 was and has been the "bible channel!" Ch12 or 1 for each diciple! Yes on 19 it can be irriating but it's not shortwave and the squelch works wonders.
As for wanting Sundays off, God really does not care which day you give to him! The Jovia Witnesses say we are prasing Him on the wrong day and it could be true as King James I think was the one who changed the calender to what we have today and "Sunday" is just a 24 hour period!
BUT if you, as said before schedule your time, can stop at a lot of the major truck stops around mid day or in the eveings and go to service there or do like my dad would do with us when on vacation and about 11 oclock see a church and pull in and go in and have our Sunday Services. Demoniation did not matter, the bible lesson did!
BUT do not expect even these "religious" trucking companies to grant you a Sunday off! They hired you to do one thing and that was to haul freight. MOST could care less about your faith or religious preferences! Yes, as good christians we're not to work on the Lords day but in todays world we can't always do what we should do but what we have to do!
I give my time when I can and some of the "churches" I've attended no man has a hand in building! God did great work in building the world and he made many places we can stop, admire his work and sing his praises from.
Good luck on your decision. Remember God gave you a brain to use and the means to make his word work!
RolloverBIG RIGGER Thanks this. -
I used to work with a guy at a food warehouse,he would shove religion down everybodys throat.
I had to go to the bathroom one time and he was slideing paperwork involveing the church he went to.
2 years later he is dealing coke(oh well) -

I have never seen a company that lets it's driver take every sunday off. But if you do fine one more power to you. It would have to be fair. All the drivers would have to be off on that day and I believe that is where the problem is. A OTR company just can not shut down for it's drivers.
