Just when you think things were getting better, here we go again with another take it in the arse load. So. I have a load that picks up in Chicago at 16 00, it does not deliver for another 2 days at 1600 and is just over 600 miles. So being that I am ready to drive NOW and only 600 miles I will lose two day This is losing two days of production for one day of work. I am going to lose a whole week next week for scheduled time off, and now a slow unproductive week because someone gives me a one day load and three days to do it. I started taking pictures of all the loads like this so nowwhen I resign they will be fully aware how much wasted production. I want to drive and not sit at truck stops, if I need to sit I'll take time off. In my experience here you can not afford to take time off because you end up with a slow week before it and after and takes another three weeks after to recover. So after this I will be out another 2-3 months straight. This program sucks typing on a cell phone so a lot of errors in sentence structure as my cursor decides where it wants to go sometimes.

Jay, make it in one day...show up before 1600, and tell receiving you're there for your 1600 appointment, just fail to mention it's for the next day. Unless it's a Walmart or Target, they probably won't even bat an eyelash at it. I do it all the time..
    clerk "Can I help you?"
me "yeah...I've got a 1600 appointment..." (you DO!)
    clerk "Back into door #3"

I have had this happen three times and two out of the three when I gave my ETA my DM got on with logistics and reset the appointment for close to my ETA. Only reason we couldn't do that on the third is because there was no freight loading in the area so it would have done me no good. Not sure why they can't help you with that.

Walmarts have certain time windows that they accept refrigerated/frozen freight.

His run turned out to be 850 miles over two days. Not a bad run really.

took me a little bit to post I been rolling. I screwed up and got jamestown mixed w johnstown so it is 850 w empty. I been to pembrooke before and heard it over the qc not look at the qc when I did a mental pre trip without reading it. I called my Dm and apologized for the mix up.

it's either too much time, or not enough...

I picked up a load yesterday in Paris, TX going to Aurora, CO due tomorrow...dropped it in the Denver yard, so I could repower Christmas trees from there 2 hours ago (parked in Limon, CO now) and they are due in Palm Coast, FL (1900 miles) Sunday night (Monday 0800) and I have to stop through Atlanta and pick my student back up. Did I mention, I now only have 9:10 left on my 70, don't gain any until tomorrow night (9hrs) and only pick up 9hrs each of the next two day after that? lol
But, it will give me 2891 Wed -Mon and I just had 3062 last week, and 2987 the week before that...Supposedly getting the Ft Myers-Ontario Tuesday, since I'll already be right there, so that's another 2900 week. I should finish November with close to 12k...

Jay, we talk on the phone, I think you know I don't post/say this to piss you off, rub it on...only to illustrate what we talked about yesterday...2 people could not have more opposite experiences within the same company... :biggrin_25513: :biggrin_2555: :biggrin_2557:
