I am going to move back to Florida west coast after new years. Maybe that will help.

Make it 3, even tho I'm running 11 west, there's no reason I couldn't be making 3k a week. Last week with a Ennis, TX to Boise, ID run via Salina, KS (thank God for routing as I missed tornados in TX w/ a 7,000lbs load) and back to Denver I only made about 2500 miles. I got stuck in Evanston, WY dur I-80 closed and no freight out of Denver. it was an ok week.

Eric, jshfn, There is not much difference only your a trainer and did a couple favors for the planners. That's the only way I can see it. You go home more than me too. So I don't know why we are so different in our experiences, maybe cause your hung like a horse, and I am hung like a hampster?

Anyway, last week I got 2997 miles, I think they shorted me 3 on purpose. ;;;;;;;;;;)))))));). I literally had 3 runs all with one day extra to drive so I worked everyone of those to drop early and got a reset out of one, otherwise I would not of made that many and only around 2400 again. I had 61k miles before this pay period. That being said I calculated from the first week I started driving w trainer at 29 weeks. I came up with 2100 average a week. Since I have a lot of free time today I might go into a calender and minus actual days off and re calculate since I was soloed and see what my average is.

I have been solo for 12 weeks now. I haven't even put 17,000 miles on the truck. My weekly average is 1300 miles. I have only gone home for three days in that 12 weeks. Too much time in breakdown. That looks a lot more dismal than I thought it was.

Sorry dozzer, they have plenty of new trucks. Mine is very reliable mechanically. I take care of it, I ride with pride so I even pay for my washes or wash it when at Layton. This thing will be in better condition then when I was issued it. New bed, cleaned and vacuumed top to bottom once a week including inside of my closets. I know I am anal. I hate smoke smell, I have asthma.

You always think things are going better than thy are until you work it out on paper. I feel for you. As a new driver there is no way you should only have 1350/week. That is just unacceptable. You should be moved to a more reliable truck honestly. Not necessarily brand new, just more reliable.

I agree about the more reliable truck. I was told on my first run that my OCM was looking for a new truck for me daily and this one was just a band aid to keep me rolling. Hate to say but the adhesive on the band aide has failed. I understand breakdowns happen, but I doubt others are having near the problems I have been having.

Well the truck is fixed, a relay went out that controlled a bunch of stuff. (like my technical jargon?) but now the word is that I will have to sit on it until Monday for the next available delivery appointment. Not at all happy about. That means I get 1250 miles for the week. Less than my average. I am hoping they can find a way to squeeze me in today. That would be nice. But I sit and wait to find out.

time for a call to your OCM...DEMAND a different truck ASAP

Personally, I would have never accepted that truck from day 1

When I got seated, my truck came off the road driver jumped in taxi and left. Ciggareette smoke and all still inside truck. Appearance was clean, mechanically good. Took me 2 months to get smoke out. And 9 bottles of febreeze.Dozzer also pre trip that truck before it was issued, I went over mine for one hour outside, and inside 30 mins.
