Just hang in there, Dozzer. If it makes you feel any better, my first truck was mess when i got it. It needed new belts, new batteries, and new shocks. I ended up driving from Baytown, TX to El Paso with no front shocks on steers. This was after May and the T/A argued all day who was going to fix what was broke because T/A wanted to fix but bolts were so corroded with salt they broke on the T/A repair crew. This was my first solo trip. And my second truck, the clutch went out a month 1/2 after I got it and was stuck in Richmond, VA for a week 1/2 over Christmas.

Not all noobs know to do that, hell, they're just happy to get a truck and not rock the boat. So, the crap gets passed to them. My first truck had all kinds of issues when I got it, but I pointed them and got them fixed. My first student that solo'd told me he's been in 4 trucks since he started. Myself and another driver went over the trucks that they offered him and helped him pick one in decent condition, but looks can be decieving.

I agree, but May touts "we get rid of our trucks around 450k) And his had 470k when he got it, and it needed to immediately got to a repair fecility before he could even have a load...THAT should have been the first/last straw with that POS
