sounds to me like a sensor problem, but anyways thought id pop in and see whats up, looks like i may be going to knight, just talked to a recruiter and got my app in, hopefully they hire me, but im an ex crst driver and they kinda got a stake through my heart with a contract and it makes it hard to find another driving job.

Taft, huh? Means you'll be out of Tulare (close to your home). One of the better terminals...how do you like living on CA99 and looking for MT's???:biggrin_25525:

Also, isnt CRST all team driving?? Done team for 3 mos, then solo for next 10 yrs. Would never drive team again!!!

Looks like your Dad has got your eyes open with what to expect. Hope you get a good dispatcher, since that's usually about 1/2 the game. Good luck, and remember that ALL experience is valuable....just dont let the bad things ruin your attitude.:biggrin_25525:

yea, well apparently my experience doesnt quite match up to what night wants, im shy by one month of actual otr driving, i have oil field exp but that dont mean a thing lol. So its back to crst to finish up my contract then ill find a good company from there

You didnt meet the 4 mo. min reqmt?

Well, good luck..and many OTR companies discriminate against local, home-every-night drivers, thinking that they cant hack it (long stretches away from home & family)! The ultimate goal for most drivers (that are not pure $$$ driven) is to get a job locally where they are home often...and OTR companies know it!!

Probably running like crazy! There hasn't been a slow week here yet since the winter.

They must have changed it 'again!' When I hired on in 2003, it was 1 yr min exp...then with a big turnover following, it became 6 mos. Then when they really got hard up...it dropped down to 4 mos.

Plus the hypocrisy of "No U-turns"........all experienced drivers do them, and in 'some' situations they are a must...the only caution is: "Do them in an appropriate area and do them safely." And, oh yes, "Dont get caught!":biggrin_2559:

In AZ and some other states, it is legal to U-turn in most places unless otherwise noted...but many trucking co.s will still nail you if you do, not recognizing the 'REALITY' of OTR in strange places and with bad directions (as are many of Knight's on the Qcom)!!
