I agree with both of you but this conversation is a waste of time. The only place in my life I have to deal with this mess is at work (in trucking). Trucking, by a definition we can all agree on, is wading through whatever swamp of red tape we have to each day to pick up and deliver freight. Every place you go has their silly rules. I don't b**ch about a hard hat and I won't about a mask if that's their rule. Well, I might b**ch on here a little.

The arguments about personal rights and freedoms going down the drain all end the moment you drive on to private property to pick up or deliver someone else's goods. They always have and always will no matter what is going on with the country, laws, government, etc.

 

I'm gonna have some trouble with that.

 

You did the right thing, driver. The sheeple will always choose the path of least resistance because they're losers. Each tiny little thing grows into something larger and larger. I bet they wear masks in their car alone. I haven't wore a single time since this nonsense started. NEWSFLASH: STAY SIX FEET AWAY FROM ME!!! The fools that haven't studied History will soon be eating their pets for protein.

 

Some of those temp check machines are even feeding into facial recognition databases. My thing is where does it end? What if tomorrow they want a prick of your finger to draw some blood? What about a quick lung x ray? Maybe a quick mouth swab? “Hey it’s just saliva.” drivers will say.

Temp check sounds innocent enough but it’s only the beginning. And this virus only has a .002% death rate. Only 1% and 5% at max of cases require hospitalization. To hear the media you’d think covid was a death sentence. It’s not. Far from it. To watch people all masked up you’d think half the people who get it die. They did a poll and the majority of Americans thought 30 million have died from covid. I have no idea where people are getting their information. ON ANYTHING.

People you have a smart phone. Use it! All the world’s knowledge is on it and at your fingertips. And THINK. What happened to critical thinking? Asking who? What? Where? Why? Question things. And yes personal freedom. If I don’t want to wear a mask I shouldn’t have to and I don’t. My face has nothing to do with you. You wear a mask to protect YOU. Leave me out of your psychosis.

And it’s only going to get WORSE. Unless people stand up against it. So yes innocent enough it’s just a temp check, but it’s only the beginning. Give them an inch they’ll take a mile. Look at gun control. Now we are at the door of a near total ban if not all out ban. It was just a background check. It was just a registration. It was just a permit to carry concealed. It’s just a permit to buy ammo. On and on.

Now look at where you’re at.

As this thread has progressed over the last year, some of us who have predicted it is never going to stop can take a look at this requirement in NY. You MUST carry proof of Covid-19 vaccination or be denied entry to large events, weddings, businesses, in short anywhere outside of your own house. Privacy concerns anyone? What about Covid-20, 21, 22. You didn't take your vitamins this morning. No go.
Of course all the illegal aliens running around coming from every corner of the globe with diseases far more communicable and deadly are not being checked.
