I saw one that bent an axle like that at a TA fuel island. There's not much room in front of the pumps to get lined up, and the driver cut it too short and dragged the trailer up onto the concrete filled pipe that protects the pump. He couldn't have been going all that fast; I'm sure he pulled it right over and momentum of the truck wasn't a factor.

That'd be a "Bollard Pole." You guys got it all wrong. That Light Pole jumped out, and visciously assaulted the Prime truck to avenge the death of it's cousin, the TA Bollard Pole!

If you look closely there is a dent in side of the trailer not far from the end of the skirting. I'm guessing that was the first hit that bent the pole a bit to allow the tire to bend it more and ride up it a bit.

I mean he has on his mudflaps wide turns, he needs to listen to his own advice next time. Cut that truck out a lil more next time or make the cars back up in front of ya.

That's gonna cost somebody money to fix not to mention this driver probably lost his job.
critters Thanks this. -
That's one1 of those fancy new trailers with a steerable axle! -
