Maybe he thought if he drove fast enough once he hit it, he could shake it off & keep going.

Of cource he tried to keep going , Its not like it was a " STOP LIGHT "

I saw one similiar to that, but the pole landed in a car dealer lot on top of a bunch of brand new Toyotas,,,,what a mess.

"Ring, Ring", Hello, Prime dispatch. "Yea, hello, this is driver XYZ. I've come down with a bout of stomach flu this morning, I won't be able to make that delivery on-time. Can you please re-power the load?"
ironpony Thanks this. -
Can you please re-power the load?" As soon as the power utilty cuts the power to the POLe I knocked over

What the hell did he do to that axle? That doesn't look good ( unless if course I'm looking at it wrong or its sitting on top of the pole at a weird angle).
-
The axle bent , or the slider subframe is bent . Trailer manufactures are cutting weight . Bent sub frames are not uncommon , sadly . Our shop keep three subframes , can swap out in about four hours. Then we have a frame shop get it back square and TRUE reload springs , etc. be ready for the next one. With today's equipment it takes far less then this to lead to such damage . But I m truly shocked neither the tire or rim didn't fail!

Yes seeing more major damage from what use to be a minor incident on trailers the last few years
