If you haven't gotten a copy of your DAC just go to www.hireright.com/ and have them send you one! This is what DAC is being called this year!

Unless you are a contracted employee, and have a signed copy of the work agreement, that prohibits you from using social networking sites, discolsure, gag order, non-compete, etc. your not bound from any of those things. However, in this day and age, when social networking sites are being used by everyone, more and more companies are going this route.

I have a friend who works for a medium size trucking company (sorry can't name it) who just picked up a juicy gov't contract, they outbid 10 other companies (including a couple of the biggies). The week before the contract was signed, all the drivers were called in and told that if they got this contract they would all have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, anyone who refused could cost them the contract. They all agreed, the day the contract was signed, they all had to sign this form. They had to list on it their email address (including any alternates within the immeidate family (kids, spouse)), and any social networking site they are on, with the screen name used. Four days after signing, one of the guys was called in and fired, he had posted it on his twitter that his company had gotten a really nice gov't contract. Apparently they weren't playing games.

You are probably going to have to find a small outfit that doesn't use DAC/Hirerite...and get a year under your belt then try to move on.

But you do really need to get that report and see what they said...you might have a legal case depending on what they put on the report.

I remember a trucker telling me that he was losing a dime for every mile he hauled. So I asked him how he was going to make it pay and he said he would sleep less, drive fasted and run two log books. So add to losing a dime a mile, he will sacrifice his health, he will get less MPG going faster and pay a big fine when he gets caught running two cheat sheets.

We may well be going into a depression soon and it is not only trucking that is suffering, it is all manufacturing. Slavery is the most efficient form of labor there is, and if carriers could find a way to have drivers paying them to delivering freight, they would do it. Once we were the manufacturing giant of the world, now we drive on tires from China pulling ocean containers from China and China will soon give up on the American Dollar as the reserve standard flooding the world with worthless Federal Reserve Notes that will drive the purchasing power of every dollar we possess down putting us on par with third world nations. All the time we try to find some political party to blame it on...like the left and right wings are not attached to the same bird.

There may well be a time when many would be thankful for the sleeper that follows them around and keeps them from sleeping in the rain.

Once again contact DAC/USIS/HireRight! http://www.hireright.com/ Conway might not even tell you when you DO get through! And while you are on DAC's web site look for a link that says you want a copy of each company that gets a report and to send you one also! I get them regularly in the mail!

At your age, and level of experience, and under the conditions when this occured--perhaps trucking is NOT your calling !! Perhaps this is a warning !! I'm not trying to be hateful, but COME-ON !! Give this some deep thought !! And good luck in whatever you decide to do.
