I am getting $3.00 to $3.20 per mile out of tn. These are on loads that are 400 miles & up to about 750 miles.

I just got offered a load of Trees from LA back to IL. Paid $2.95 mile, no touch and they supplied the tarp and covered it for ya..... If all else fails, I may haul it.
-
I only ever hauled nursery stock twice and both times it went from the same place in Ohio to the same place in Wisconsin. The shipper loaded me, put the tarp on and secured the tarp and the reciever untarped, unloaded me then they rolled the tarp up and put it in a crate to send back to the shipper.

I wish I could get a free tarp
SHC Thanks this. -
Oh, they keep the tarp when you deliver the load. As Jumbo said, it gets sent back to the shipper. I hauled quite a few nursery stock loads when I pulled containers. They had a foil liner that completely covered the inside of the trailer and kept the plants moist. After unloading, I took it down and gave it to the last customer to ship it back. The instructions even stated that if it was not returned in 30 days, they would bill the customer $250 for the liner.

You wouldn't get to keep it.The receiver would fold it up & ups it back to the nursery for the next guy that needed one.

Mine is netting that is 16'x50 as well use it when hauling pallets of sod

It don't belong to me, I don't want it. Looks like Viet Nam anyway.

I used to have some mesh tarps. Would then on anything that didn't "need" tarped, but was required to keep wrapping on.

Lot easier throwing 60 pound mesh than 135 pound lumbers lol
