NY man takes dump on pride flag, gets charged with hate crime

Thats how you get away with burning a flag

 

There are things that you and I will never agree on. That's okay, that's the way things are. But the people who died defending our country and it's flag are the ones who made it possible for you and I to have a civil discussion about these things.
They're deserving of our honor and the flag is the symbol of that sacrifice.

 

I don't disagree with any of that. My only issue are with folks who are the wrong kind of patriot. The ones that seem to think only a particular group matters, that the forefathers only sacrifices for those who look and think like them. I just don't see how folks can truly say they're American but have hate with other Americans just because may opt to live a different lifestyle, worship differently, or even look differently. It's the freedom they have to do so, right?

 

A true patriot never cared about who looked like what.......that wasn't what we were fighting for. We were fighting for, (not in my case, but I did make it to the show), America.

 

Exactly what I'm saying. True patriots accept all, without prejudice, or as minimal prejudice as possible and without affirmative action.

 

He was just struggling trying to obtain his Cologuard sample to send in.

 

Freedom of expression is great but I thinking they're taking it a little overboard is all. If you want to fly that flag on your own property by all means.

 

Thats complete BS to charge him with a hate crime. Then again the justice system is a joke. Funny how hate crimes and civil rights investigations only apply if the victim is in a protected class, but not the other way around. Look in Memphis, TN. Black guy kidnapped and killed a white jogger. No hate crime. NC, blk guy shoots at white family to include a 6yr old girl. No hate crime. The guy in WI that drove into a parade killing several people that were white. No hate crime. However, white guy shoots blk teen for ringing a doorbell, civil rights investigation and possible hate crime. Thats just one of many cases.

Funny how the system is one sided.

 

How many times times have a white person been killed or harmed and the motive was because they're white? Not nearly as much as people of color, LGBTQ, or others that worship differently have been. We are in an era where society is trying to increase liberation for folks other than wealthy white people. I don't mean that sound inflammatory but it's just stating the facts. Now I'm sure all those murders you mentioned probably did get investigated for hate crime potential because the police try to find motives. That guy could have pooped on something else, but he didnt; he set out to be a total arse. He poops on one, and wipes his butt with another flag. He was trying to deliberately send a message with those actions. I don't understand why the topic needs to be deflected to other instances of intergender or interracial acts of violence.

 

As far as Darrel Brooks, the Waukasha killer goes, I don't think there was really any reason to add more to that train wreck of a trial. He got nearly 900 years anyway. Have you seen any part of that trial? He was pushing as hard as he could to try and get something to call a mistrial on.
