If I need to make money in the winter I go to Texas and stay there. Took me 3 different loads to get back home! If I said my per mile avg you'd call me a liar!
-
I stay out of TX due to the truck volume and during the winter,,,most drivers try to stay in the warmer/dryer area's, I go north..lol
-
I just got mine and doing good on locals with little fuel.
I get loads off of different ports in Houston they pay 250.00 to 300.00
depends on how far you go most are less than 10 mls. I can do 2 and sometimes 3 depending
on how many boats r in. The load board rates are bad right now they say in April the rates
will better. I you need help send me a private message.
Good luck to you. -
Stop moving cheap freight once you do it brokers just put you down as a cheap carrier I won't fire up my truck for less than $400!!

I won't start mine for less than $500 and the reason is simple,,,, It may be a short run but unless you have done it before you don't have any idea how long it will take to get loaded and unloaded so, I won't move for less then $500, that covers a half day...lolFoxcover Thanks this. -
Locals down here don't pay that infact most pay $250/$300
