You might want to look at Schneider IC. Look, I know she ain't the prettiest in the fleet, and you'll never make a million dollars, but they run a crap load of contract freight that will keep you in business.
Estimate $4500 -$6000 gross on a 7 day week. Pretty easy to get along with as well.

No I’m under their authority. I do have a little bit of money saved and I probably could get my own authority but based on the numbers I’m saying I’m really not all that enthusiastic about jumping in now. I guess I would want to try to line up the freight as best I could first. That’s why I was wondering if anybody knew how to do that. I’ve called half a dozen brokers that I’ve hold for in the past for this company but they don’t have anything that’s paying more than $1.50 a mile.

Sorry I replied to this through my email but it looks like it’s going to the wrong spot. No I’m running under their authority. I do have money saved and I probably could get my own authority but based upon these numbers I’m very hesitant to do that now. I would like to try to establish a connection with some good pay freight first.

You need your authority numbers before you go looking for direct contacts. Right now it’s a cut throat Business cause everyone is trying to find good freight. I myself have my own authority and it’s been slow, I usually haul for a carrier that has contracts with the infrastructure industry and it’s been a bad year. The rains out here in SoCali has push everything. I’m still hauling but not much.

OK yeah much appreciate it. I guess in my mind I was thinking if I get my numbers then that’s a full-blown commitment but really it’s just a few hundred dollars to get the numbers and that doesn’t mean I necessarily have to do anything beyond that. And I drive a lot of California so I know what you mean about the rain. Was getting a lot of good paying hazmat out of Compton and the LA area and almost all of that has really dried up. No pun intended. Thank you
