    I once got pulled over without my D.L. and was able to get by just giving the cop my number, but that was in my car. I guess if he absolutely can't get the license a fax would be better than nothing. Your company should have your license scanned and on file and should be able to fax it to truckstop.

    I would be a little concerned about shippers or recievers who require photo ID though.

    The company should have a zerox copy of his CDL on file... have them fax him a copy. This should hold him over til he gets home asap.
