There is not any one set fuel surcharge. It can be broken down a million ways. The is no guideline. It is what ever you and customer can agree apon.

Correct, I run under her numbers for that. But I only haul Chr loads. Does anyone have other suggestions for higher paying van loads?

Haul cigarettes, last time I watched three total truckloads leave Fontana CA, they were under armed escorts. I was told the loads were worth 11 million dollars.

Another good gig is hauling us currency for the US Mint. The background check can take up to 2 years and you have an agent with you in the truck, unmarked (armed) passenger vans in front and back. I'm pretty sure the agents have the ability to call in an air strikes if they come under fire. No scales to worry about but you are also never alone.

I suppose times have changed. I hauled several loads of currency for the Fed Res back in the mid 90's and it was a cake walk. Probably had a black suburban following me around, but no one rode in the truck. And I know they did have GPS tracking devices all thru the trailer. Today, with the way things have changed on several levels, I have no desire to do it again. Matter of fact, I have opted out of anything to be hauled that has to do with the gooberment or any entity related to the gooberment. Not even a roll of toilet paper. I'll leave it to others.

I'm talking about any other brokerage companies that offer higher paying loads.
