O/O Regional vs OTR?

    looking into buying my own truck and running regional and local. I wanted to apply the team driver concept to regional and local runs. Would that be possible with companies? To have a 2 man crew run local and regional? Example: driver 1 has dedicated route in the day time. Driver 2 has dedicated route over night.

    That would be impossible with only 1 truck. What happens when your day driver is waiting for the truck, but your night driver was held up at a delivery for several more hours than expected or had a flat tire? Drivers are at the mercy of the shippers and receivers. Schedules rarely go as planned in this business.
