What are you going to be hauling? Liquid, bulk, oranges or dry van/reefer?

Im not sure yet as i havnt been able to ask those questions yet but im pretty sure it's going to be a tanker position. She said it was good i had 1 year experience as a tank driver and that I had my Twic. She also asked if I had experience using a pump at my tanker job, which I did have experience. So im 95 percent certain it's tanker company position. I didn't want to do reefeer or dry van unless they paid really well... And probably won't accept a reefer or dry van position with them.

OTR is mileage. What you make on mileage is dependent on experience.

It’s the same pay loaded or empty. You’ll be doing a lot of deadheading bc liquid food grade isn’t like van or reefer. You can’t just reload the trailer. You have to wash it out before you can reload it.

You do get paid to load/unload

Detention pay happens 2 hours after being at the consignee past your appointment time. For example: You have a appointment for 1200. You show up at 0900- early. You won’t get detention until 1400. So you just sat for 5 hours for free. You must be on time for your appointment to get detention.

All driver facing cameras are now turned off by Oakley safety. Apparently their attorney told them that they have to turn them all on or off. Can’t do both. So they chose off.

Safety bonus is an easy bonus. I think they recently changed it. Like 2 weeks ago changed. But essentially it’s drive wise score from your camera going off. You get 5 cents per every mile you ran in that month if your score is between a 0-49. You get 3 cents per mile for every mile you ran that month if it’s between 50-99. Anything 100+ you don’t get a bonus. My bonus is usually right around $500.

You can earn an extra $250 a quarter just by watching your Infiniti training videos too.

They give away stuff too. Beginning of the year they raffled off a brand new GMC Sierra to drivers.

My home time situation is a little bit different. On paper everybody is 2 weeks out, 2 days home. I tend to get home most weekends for at least a 34 bc of where I live compared to where I work out of. The guys in the office in Savannah try their best to get you home as much as possible. They understand everybody has a family at home & nobody wants their life to be trucking all time.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate you taking the time to put the info out there.

How much is detention pay after the 2 hours per hour?

Do you get paid for a wash out? Do you get detention time if you have to wait over 2 hours to get the truck washed also? And what about pay for loading/unloading if you have to do that?

What's an average weekly check look like?

    tscottme Thanks this.

All sounds good, I would have applied if they had tanker positions available at Lake Wales. There only only dry van advertised and I know someone who did apply and was only offered dry van.
