i agree...said it before..trainers should TRAIN...not sleep while a new driver is left to basically learn on his/her own....i think it should be illegal to run "team" with a trainee, yes i am being serious...

second of all, part of the problem lies with newbies training newbies.....what is a new driver gonna teach another new driver??? c'mon lets be REALISTIC here....

would you want a new doctor, training a new doctor, to operate on you, or a loved one?? the blind leading the blind....

i wont say how long i feel a trainer should have been driving before he can train...cuz all that does is start another war....but in order to "teach" someone, dont you need to know how yourself first?

and before y'all start with back in the day...hubby taught himself...he was thrown keys and pointed to his truck...(he started 29 yrs ago)...

there are LOTS more things to contend with now, then there were back then, in some aspects things are easier now...some of these folks turning to truck driving SHOULDNT be allowed to drive...PERIOD....the mind set was different back then....

you gonna tell me that someone who walks around with there rear and undies hangin out, has the mentality to do much of anything?? ...sorry but its true...

these drivers that cant drive unless its an automatic..and without a gps...and ones that run over things and hit things repeatedly...yet, they are kept...wow..thats safe.....i know we all make mistakes....but runnin over things etc isnt one that should be made and be allowed to keep on truckin....next time it may be a car, or a person...someone who has no clue how to handle a truck, or cares whether they run over things or care about their equipment, shouldnt be on the road...

 

Yep I can see it now, when I become an old pro I'll just let everything go.
