You may also want to look into some of these private companies that train people behind the wheel of your usuall passenger vehicles they may know of a company that does short term training for commercial vehicles granted it may not be the best training but it will get you the license

Ok so got my information. Blue Ridge Community College will charge roughly 1,800 dollars if I could do a 5 week course with them. They have a individual tailored course to my schedule, but it costs double nearly 3,600 for me to do that course on weekends and times that I can do it.

So bottom line, since I could only do part time and wouldn't be able to make that money up from driving full time. It sounds like best option is to wait till I retire and try it full time if I am still interested.

I think I have what you need:

    http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

I am will be going to Del Mar in Corpus and this is the grant that is paying for it. I'm sure your Community College knows about it.

The grant is covering 75% of my tuition, so I only have about $750 out-of-pocket to pay. And since I'm going to be unemployed when I start class, I may be able to get WIA to pay the balance, being that I will technically be a dislocated worker. That doesn't really apply to you, but it's good to know about anyway.

    Patriot19 Thanks this.
