Obtaining CDP in TX

    Hello,

    I hold my CDL B with tanker and hazmat, and I want to get my CDP permit in order to qualify to apply for a company.

    Does anyone know exactly what tests I have to sit in order to receive my permit.

    My thinking is that because I have my CDL B, I won't have general knowledge etc. and only need to do the combinations, and all other tests to do with hauling a trailer.

    Combination is all you need since you already have a CDL which should have included air brakes. I had a class B in Texas for about 9 years and when I decided to get a class A I took the combination test and then is all about passing the pretrip and road test.
