Plat...CALL ROB!!
I'm on a 3250 week, AND I'm taking a 34 right now... -
I had a decent, WWII bomber style pinup sticker and Terrorist Hunting permit removed from my truck at my last service in Layton w/out my permission(they left my Gadsden flag stickers and American Flag stickers on the truck tho, Turbo had a sticker pulled off of his truck as well in the same day). I had issues when I had my first truck with other pinup stickers on my truck. I don't know what the issue is. I had a wings logo on both of my last trucks but it was ok. Go figure.

I see I'm not the only one having issues getting miles as well. I was stuck in the Eastern Time Zone for a month back in August and was feed the line of "It's because of your time off request in PA." A week and 1/2 before my time off, I was sent back to Colorado, COOL!!! But when I got there, nothing going east so I was forced to take a load to Layton and was fed the line "Logistics is trying to get you something from Layton" I did the calculations and realized I wasn't going make it to PA for my time off, so I told them to forget it, I'll take it in Denver, not more than 20 min later, I had a preplan coming back to Denver. Hmmmm, makes me wonder if Logistics was sitting on that to see if I would drop my PA time off request. I don't understand how they can deadhead me from Dayton, OH to Toledo, but couldn't deadhead me from Denver to Cheyenne to get me to PA. Also, I was gonna leave back in Feb and I sat down and talked to Robyn in Denver, she talked me into staying. I told her, at that time I had ONE 3k plus in 6 mos. She promised me it would change, I'd get a new truck and things would definately change. Well, only thing I got out of it was a new truck. That 3k plus run, it's now been a year since I had a 3k plus run (had 2 close but not 3k) I have a good friend of mine runs out of Brooks, and he's getting all these cross country runs ALL THE TIME, I've talked to other drivers out of Brooks, they're running west/east constantly, same with the P-cola drivers. I'm doing 11 west (feels more like 2.5 west right now as all I've seen is OR, WA, and N. CA, can't get east of Boise or south of San Jose and constantly stuck on Lowe's or Home Depot loads which drives me nuts because during the week you're constantly micro managed on) I'm truely frustrated and I've talked to Robyn numerous times but she's busy, she doesn't, and nor do I expect her, to keep track of one driver. I was about to get stuck on the Othello-Burley loop when my Mom ended up in the hospital so I gotta give props to the company for getting to Vegas to see her, plus it gave me a chance to get truck fixed tho it took 6 days for freightliner in Vegas to fix me. After that, I was run like crap. I had one day 175 miles for the day. My buddy is getting frustrated too, he said there's only 6% of us senior drivers left at May. I like May, I would rather not leave, but I'm not making any money and I'm tired of hearing of Brooks drivers and P-cola drivers getting the cream runs. And, the Gary, IN terminal is opening next week, that means if you have a load going East on I-80, I-90, or I-94, you're gonna drop it there for Gary and P-cola drivers to take rest of the way, and when I'm on 48 that's all I ever run so there's no more incentive to come back to 48.

I agree and right there with you, Plat. I used to be friends with someone that USED to work at May. I'll call him Cartman, and some of the Vets here at May might know who I'm speaking of. He started being your best friend, until he finds out what pisses you off and then he tries to piss you off constantly. He bragged about a connection he had in Logistics, when he wasn't getting miles, he'd make a call and he had miles. he wanted to go to Florida, he made a call, guess what? he had a Florida run, well one day, he pissed me off and I let him have it. I threatened to expose his little "connection", but never did. Well, right after that, three things happened. My miles went down, I started consistantly running places I told Cartman I didn't like running, AND his little "connection" got busted (I didn't say anything). His DM told me that what he was doing wasn't fair to the other drivers and she set it up so had to babysit a load back East and got him crap runs (karma's a #####
). Well, ever since then (Cartman quit again), I got stuck back East for a month, my PA time off was screwed up and now I'm doing the 2.5 Western. Yeah, I think I might've been blackballed.
P.S. Yeah, Ross in Payette is a dick. -
Jedi, Thanks for responding and being upfront. Blogging our current situations is best, its leaves everything in open nothing to hide , very transparent if you will. I have met Turbo, and he is a good guy. He deserves whatever he gets in miles. He has the time put in. But we need to make consistant miles. Pcola is not getting all the miles. My trainer has had some bad weeks too and he has a family and struggling too. Not everyone is in same situation, but it would be nice to be more driver friendly. My terminal is very organized. Imo its not them commanding the fleet, the just run our battleship along. You can back channel me if you need too.

It's like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan liked to say, that's the story from a certain point of view. And it's true. I talk to my friend on a regular basis and he's making a lot of good miles, or was, and I was wallowing back East (I don't care for the Northeast and I don't like Illionis all that much and I had a very negative expirence with my first expirence in Ohio which was 11yrs ago, 8 before I worked at May.) I've heard other drivers talking at the terminals and they say they're getting good runs (lots of east/west runs) and the majority of them are from Brooks or from P-cola. My ex g/f is out with her new b/f who happens to work for May now (I know, I know, tell me about it!!!) and she posts on her FB page how they got into Denver after me and got a load out because they had hometime (Yup, a Brooks driver). I'm swapping loads with Brooks drivers so they can get home for hometime, or they get into a location after me and they get out before me because of hometime and I sit in Florida for 2 days and all I get is Ft Meyers to Atlanta and he got FL to OR. But when I request Fogelsville area for time off, they can't even run me from Denver to CHeyenne to put me in position to swap with someone. Do you see where me "certain point of view" comes from? Hey, I really like May, they have been good to me and I would suggest to anyone to come here to start truck driving. But lately it seems to me I'm catching ALL the crap runs. I've been here 3 yrs and when they ask I always jump and do favors for them, but when do I get it back as far as my runs go? That's where I'm coming from.
