I am interested in the possibility of working there. Just wanting to know the right questions to ask. Get a feel for their expectations.
Can you start on P+D? How is that for work?
Or do you have to start on the extra board doing what ever needs to be done?
Do most of the drivers pulling doubles want to run at night? Is there shift differential?
From what I gather I may need to call Memphis to get the info for Nashville.
Thanks in advance!

If that doesn't work out, check UPS Freight in Smyrna. It's a non-union division of UPS.

Line haul drivers start on the extra board. I'm on the extra board right now, and I'm getting at least 2500 miles a week. Occasionally I run a city run, but it is usually to drop off an empty, or pick up an already loaded trailer.
Drivers pulling doubles can run during the day or night. I like running days. All my runs leave in the afternoon, and I usually get back in the in early morning hours. That being said, most of the extra board drivers that run out of my terminal (Indianapolis) run at night. There isn't a shift differential. -
Does the extra board have a minimum guarantee? Where I work the extra board is guaranteed $750 a week. What is the mileage pay? I prefer day time, if I go to work there I expect I'll get the stuff no one wants.
Thanks in advance! -
I'm just curious, did you end up applying/getting on with OD? Let us know!
