PFJ's are known for "mystery meat" in some of their various deli items. I think it varies from day to day depending on the road kill du jour the day it was prepared. Not a big fan of coyote.

Locals know how to cook things better than the big chains, especially if you want something different. The best chicken gizzards and livers I've had didn't come from a Chesters.

Anyone remember when you could get decent Chinese food at the Flying J?

I like to eat Chinese. They are hard to catch, but taste great.

Just didn't expect to see them in the hot deli in a truck stop ... ate 'em all the time when I was kid. Go catch a sack of 'em and my friends grandmother would fry 'em up.

There used to be good frog legs in Mckinney Texas at Grand Buffet off of US 75. No where to park a truck nearby but the frog legs were incredible.

They were grilled and seasoned, now that they have discontinued them I am no longer able to eat any others ever since. There is just nothing that compares.

Oh man, you guys are killing me with all this talk about frog legs. I suppose I could go buy some, but half the fun comes from catching them yourself. When I was a kid, my brother and I always felt like mighty hunters toting home our old tater sack filled with our limit of bullfrogs.

On our private pond, the only limit we had was how many we could fit in our sack. Elsewhere, we didn't care to be hassled by DNR so we kept to the bag limit.
