    We did, the service manager at the dealership assured us that the display was just an error code that he had never seen before.

    I am sorry, but that wouldn't fly with me unless they put it in writing and willing to back it up with a buy back.

    So maybe contacting the engine manufacturer to see if they can advise you what could be the issue.

    is this a regular new truck dealer (major Mfrg) of an "Honest Sam" used truck only dealer ? A big red flag is the service guy stating odometer is just an error code.

    This is illegal as it gets. In Tennessee you would contact the State attorney general for odometer fraud. Find out who is responsible for this in your state, call that office and ask them to come question whoever sold you the truck. They love fresh fruit and may even come out the same day.

    Why would you possibly think a truck that has been in service for 11 years only has 100,000 miles? If you are that naive, being an o/o isn't going to be the dream you think it is.

    You're also going to find out trucks are exempt from odometer laws as well.

    There is no way a ten year old truck has 1xx,xxx miles. Rig dig is good or go to www.decodethis.com. It's 6.99 but you can get a report of the truck. Mileage is often exempt in the report, but at least you can get a history of the truck as a whole.
