Not quite this why I don't only look at the confirmation I also ask broker what the rate is I also ask dispatcher and once in a while ask o/o's that are doing the same load if it matches up pretty close + or - 100 bucks I know it's pretty close but if its way off I know something's up which hasn't happend yet

If you are leased to a company and paid percentage, it is the LAW that they have to show you the original bills upon request, showing the rate etc.

It is sad to say but the rate conformation can be amazingly fudged and O/O can get screwed out of money...

They are taking money off both sides of the load.
Example: They get 2000 to move a piece of freight 500 miles.
The offer you the load for 1500 and you still have to pay 20 percent.
You make 2.40 a mile and are dang happy to get it.

Landstar Agents with there own ''Auth'' and trucks crush BCO's all the time and make mega money on both ends of the load...It is sad Landstar allows this to still go on..

Well they offered me a $1000 to move a 42,000 lb. load 670 miles! Then, after they take their 20% and I get my 80%, that leaves me with $800 to move a load 670 miles. Tell me they didn't screw me on that load. That seems to be the way they are doing things with most of the other loads as well. They told me in the beginning that I would be averaging $1.80 per mile after my percentage, should have known they were full of it!

Name names bud. We all do it, and it's perfectly accepted here.
Could save someone else from getting screwed too.

By law they have to show you if you ask for the rate sheet. Of course that can be altered and the real one kept aside, along with the money

if you have proof of this talk to Jacksonville. if they won't do anything then hire an attorney and let the courts sort it out. you do have proof right?

where are you getting screwed? You are getting exactly, to the penny, what you agreed upon. those rates do suck, but that doesn't mean they are stealing money from you. it means they have a lot of cheap freight
