There is a reason the FCC is not governing the CB it's called freedom of speech. Whether you like it or not people have the freedom to get on the CB and act like fools. You may not like it and it may not be the right thing to do, but it is their right just like it is your right to turn the CB off

EASY ...... It has nothing to do with free speech

The FCC has no set rules for content other than obscene ,,,,

There is no set rules for a 10 code Q code or anything normally used in radio not a far as speech content is not what they regulate.

 

what the heck does that mean, I heard someone on the CB yelling baba booey once and when I asked what it meant all my trainer did was laugh at me and never would tell me..

It's from the Howard Stern show. Long story short it's what they call Gary his producer. It's used as a way to prank people letting them know it's one of his fans. They use it a lot to interupt live news cast and other radio shows. The fans just use it to annoy people. You will mainly here it in the NE around NYC. Been going on for atleast 20 years.

 

Its not freedom of speech. They just dont have the manpower or the desire to enforce the rules. Unless someone complains about a specific person and even then it almost takes an act of God. Or Gadfly. LOL.
