OH Bound - April 15

Safe and sound in Middletown. Heading out to WallyWorld for supplies...

 

I actually bought healthy crap. Went to the doc on Friday and I lost 7 lbs and my BP is down 20 points since I last saw him. So that encouraged me to (maybe) try changing the diet a bit. He said if I lose another 7 over the next 3 months he might reduce the meds or take me off them altogether. That would be awesome. I actually want to lose at least 15 more and get closer to fightin' weight...

 

First day under my belt. Nine total students here at Trenton - all great guys with good senses of humor, which goes a long way. Bill is entertaining and blunt, which I like in an instructor. Lots of paperwork today. Biggest challenge: Developing a "trucker's signature," which needs to have each letter of your full name readable. I've been doing a doctor scribble all these years. "Um - which letter comes next in my name?" LOL. Got talk to a couple drivers and look over a few different trucks. Talked to another guy who came through and was about a week away from soloing.

Everyone at Millis seems friendly and helpful so far, and the consensus among the class seems to be that we all made the right decision, seeing how the job market is today in all our various home areas. A bit of studying tonight for class tomorrow.
