My dad knew a guy " back in the day" with very little airplane experience,
he somehow wiggled his way into a crop dusting job.
He was dead before the end of his first week.
Truth is a strange thing

Do you know if you'll mainly haul production, flowback, or fresh water? Each is a little different. Also there are different types of disposals. Some you just pull over a grate and dump the water then some you hook up to a piping system or frac tank and blow the water off. If you screw up while blowing off you or someone else could get hurt.
Skydivedavec and KW Cajun Thank this. -
truth be told, if his friend taking a day off and showing him isn't enough- He IS in TEXAS: meaning those suggestions about quitting arent all that outlandish- I see a million driving jobs in texas at the moment so he wouldnt have problems finding another (i dont think) .... maybe even another water hauling job (but for a beginner)...... But my main point is, I would MUCH rather quit BEFORE i got myself in trouble, than after.
Wish him good luck nonetheless, but it really was a stupid moveKW Cajun Thanks this. -
Even though I have the endorsement but I had never hauled any tank. But here it is a great video for you. I hope it will help you.

You'll find a job eventually but you can't blame this guy for your problems finding a job in the industry.Arkansas Frost, D.Tibbitt and flightwatch Thank this. -
Don't do it. You may regret in the worst way. I am green as a tree frog and I told all potential employers. When hired, I clearly ask to receive training and was assured I would be. When you ask you get answers, people want to help, but bull **** is a big no. This is to dangerous a business to fake it.
My friend started off in oilfield trucking as green as me and was under supervision for three weeks before let out on his own, and it is still spooky. I agree, man up and quit before thing go bad.
