Oh hello! From Ohio

Hi there! This is Derek, aka Deke, I'm not currently a commercial driver, but may return to hustle at some point in the future. I got my cdl through road master in Columbus, was trained at Werner, drove for Werner I about a year after training on a northeast regional "feeder" account.

All in all, I actually had a fairly positive experience with Werner, but mostly because I was luck enough get land in a decent account. After my wife and I reconciled, we moved to zanesville and I switched to US Xpress on their dollar general account to be closer to my family, which still didn't work out well at home, so I came off the road, out of the truck where I am now a stay at home Dad, raising my two boys, one just turned one in december, and the other is turning four next month.

I joined these fine forums here because in my short odyssey as a truck driver I learned that real truckers, not just the steering wheel holders, are some of the best people on earth, and are God's blessing to the rest of us, so thank you to all you hard working drivers who give up so much to serve us all!
