It has nothing to do with running illegal for me. I want to be able to drive my full 11 I am allowed to drive. Now you have to basically shut down around 9 to 10 hours unless you have a special spot where you know you can park with no problems that will be there when your time is up.

I don't like how it logs you driving in a wally world dc as I use to just show 15 minutes but now it could be up to as much as an hour. All this adds up by the end of the week.

As far as Elogs they are nice up to the end of your day. Other companies have their Elogs setup better than Swift as far as miles to put you back driving.

Yeah, mine will not force me onto the drive line unless I allow it so I don't penalized for driving around on private property. Swift has shot themselves in the foot so bad that we now pull their trailers for them. That's just fine with us.

It's not Swift. Swift is following the rules. If your carrier has found a way to override the purpose and requirement of EOBR, it will be your carrier's butt in the fire. Yours, too if you knowingly go along with falsifying your logs.

    Cheers.

This is where the problem is. Swift needs to up the miles from 7/10 to a acceptable range like other companies.

I have a few days to get the elog class done or I go on safety hold. Of course my dm was like Yup will get you back to phx to get it done, two trips and 1500 miles in the wrong direction later.

The only company I know of who gets more than 7/10 mile is Prime. They went to federal court to get their two miles. It took them nearly a year and a half and cost them a bundle. I know this because I was with Prime when this decision came in.

Swift did not choose that ridiculous 7/10 mile. Your federal guv'mint did.

You have a legitimate complaint. But if you're going to complain, at least know who to complain about. I've noticed in so many of your posts, you are quick to blame Swift for things they do not control. You've been spending too much time at the Gossip and Gripe Tables. Do a little research before you take a Swift driver's word as gospel. Especially a Swift driver who has enough time on his or her hands to sit around in the Gossip Tent.

haha I wish I have spent too much time at the gossip tables. No Injun everything that I complain about is a direct result of me going through it. As I said before the 7/10 is a problem does not matter who come up with it. I'm not blaming Swift on this but it definitely will be a problem with most drivers.

Hmm to many post that I blames Swift? Hmm where?

I will do a review of my experience at Swift at a later date. I could careless what the drivers sitting around the tables are complaining about because I am rarely near a terminal. So try again!!!

I have been doing paper logs now for over 20 + years was put on the e-logs a month ago after hearing the horror storys agout them regreded the thought of it, but after being put on them I like them saves me time I lost no more miles in a days driving,
Stop the whining or stick the passifier in your mouth its the way of the future and we have to live with it. Do your planning and know where you are going to stop and don"t be dragging your feet. There is just no streaching the line or hiding it, I've had no problems with it making my appointments on time.

I must have the lucky truck, every time at a terminal they look at mine then say "not in his old thing" and run off. I'll get one soon enough though, I have used a Xata before, just another form of elog and it wasn't bad unless you forgot to log out like my daytime drivers always did hah.

Forgive me for asking a silly question. If you need to move further than .7 miles, can't you just shut the truck off when you get close to that distance, start the truck again, and drive the remaining distance?
