Oh I agree, I'm in favor of it. I just don't think it solves the shortage discussion.

 

What age do you need to work in a Nuclear Power Plant? Looks like there’s much worse jobs that you can do and start at 18. Maybe there’s look kids that won’t want to drive truck and that’s fine but you shouldn’t take the option away from the ones that do want to.

 

Love all the crying. I mean it's dumb. 18 in the communist state (CA) can drive just as far as any OTR driver. But one in VA is a danger going to DC or MD? Dumbest thing ever.

If it's a safety thing. Have it be regional and mileage based. Back to the yard every night/day. Get debriefed and go over following distance, speed...etc.

But to whine over 18 vs 21. It's dumb. IMO
