Here are the results of my oil analysis. Delvac oil with a gallon of Lucas and about 23k miles. Does everything seem ok to you guys? I have never pulled an oil sample before (I know I know :biggrin_25516:)

Truck has 710k on a MBN C15 and use's NO OIL between changes

Go to the site "Bob is the Oil Guy", and sign up. Post your numbers in the correct section. Those guys over there live for oil, and can tell you all you need to know.

My old eyes are having a hard time reading this, but I think it's good from what I can see. The only thing I didn't like was the Viscosity was high for a 15W-40 oil. The high viscosity is more than likely coming from the Lucas additive

the first 6 items are the metals deposits.they're measured in parts per million.as you can see there's basically no wear. the others are additives in oil.the soot level is refering to dirty airfilter.it all looks good partner.

That is great to hear. Like I said, the truck has 710k miles on it right now and hopefully (knock on wood) it will continue this way. I really like the truck and have had to do minimal repairs since I bought it in May :)

Thanks to some product development I was involved in, I've had to read about 5 million of these from every single vehicle you could imagine, and it looks ok to me. You should be good for miles and miles.

710K and a good oil analysis- on a truck with no problems? Do you know how good you've got it? That's like winning the pick 3 !

You're one lucky driver, hope it always stays that way.

At my shop we use Citgo for our oil analysis. They take the guess work out of it and tell you if any thing is questionable or needs to be looked at in greater detail. It's helpful especially because they give the typical causes associated with elevated levels of a certain metal or foreign fluid in the oil.
