If I’m understanding you correctly, engine oil filters should be changed at every oil change. That’s how I was taught. Your engine owner’s manual should also state the mileage interval for every filter in your truck.

Some companies change their filters in-between oil changes. But always change the oil filter if you change the oil.

Anyone have any experience with the John Frantz oil bypass filter? I have a series 60 and am considering a bypass system? Any affordable recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Never heard of that one. I like the Amsoil bypass. I know a few guys that run it and they really like it.

Does anyone know if a spinner 976 will work? If not which spinner is best?

I’ve been looking at that one as well. Currently looking at a spinner I see on sale but I don’t know if a 976 model will work for me

Then that would mean I never have to change my oil. I have had my truck for two and a half years and have NEVER had to top off the oil. Find a new mechanic.
