For people with older engines from 80s-90s it's piece of mind. When the truck needs about a gallon, or the fill mark usually 15-17k for me it's time to change it.

I've been testing mine every 10k since my rebuild. It's a 96 3406e and I've taken it all the way out to 30k. The oil is still in good condition even at that point. I've no doubt I could go longer but I don't.

I do everything at 20k now but before I was 10k interval guy. I use the cheapest oil I can find when it's time for a drain too but I buy all my fuel and oil filters in bulk and keep them stocked.

This is the 1st time running synthetic and we've never done an analysis so idk what to go off of even if we did send one out. Even if it's just another 8k or so from 15 it'll be same price roughly.

Someone else did mention changing the filters 1st than running it some more. Besides the newer stuff with a bypass system the old mack's have a really good filtration system with 2 filters and a spinner. Probably could go 30-35k easily.

50% of my loads are 15k and under the other 50% are 30-44k

That’s exactly how mine acts. Around 12-13k it wants little less than a gallon. I top it off, run it another 2-3000 miles and change

I must be special. 45k miles right now on my change. Just changed the bypass and cart oil filters 2 weeks ago to renew them. I'm showing 1 qt low, and haven't added a drop since I changed it in January. Mx 13. 600k on engine.

Well it’s barely broken in lol I wouldn’t expect it to use much.
