@10k miles here. Always done it at that time, but I haul a little heavier than most and the truck actually works for a living.
Remember that a good PM is not just an oil change.....
Cant tell you how many things have been caught at a PM, not oil related.

car manufactures recommend 7500 miles. been that way long before the carburetor went extinct.
BUT, if you followed that recommendation. you could plan on smoking the blues around 75,000 miles. as was so common back in them days.
today, gas is cleaner, and engines are fuel injected. but even the oils shops all you give you a new sticker for another 3,000 miles.
our dd15's are 25,000 miles or engine warranty expires. -
I'm from the old school. Every 12 to 15,000.

I read my warranty and owners manuals its 50,000 if you feel better at 25,000 that's fine but check your book before you say I'm wrong

2011 (EPA2010) Mack MP7 405-M in a roll off doing site service....book says 25,000km for the usage, we go 15,000km give or take to be safe....
88 Mack E6-350, same gig, about every 10,000-15,000km....
Better safe than sorry....
