Got an 07 379 with Cat C15 with 1.1 million on her. I always run Rotella. Will it hurt to change to Deli ? Always heard don't change brands.
Oil, changing brands. Will it hurt the engine?

It's only going to hurt if you use sailboat oil in your engine.
-
Won't hurt a thing probably be more oil pressure is like mobile delvac

It's a wives tail that's been going on forever. The only important thing is too change your oil. Your oil samples will get jacked up on the first change and if you don't let the lab know what oil your currently using. Other than that...roll on

Dello is better and it won't hurt anything, when it was new it even had a "use Delo" sticker by the fill tube if it's a 2007 Cat.
You will notice an immediate decrease in oil consumption if you make this switch, the Rotella cheerleaders will balk at this claim so please update this thread with your results after running the new oil for one oil change cycle.
That will save me having to write "see I told you so" -
On my last 2 trucks I used rotella . It's good oil but a little thin so after they were well worn in went to delvac , it is thicker and also I add a gal of Lucas now that I'm over a million miles , and I burn less then a gal of oil between 15 k drains .
Never used delo but I know guys swear by it
