Not so much, and still a lot of rigs and tenders parked but with all the truck down there seemed like things were starting to hop a little. Both of the TS's were completely full and many trucks parked along the roads. (I delivered in the middle of the night). Also many trucks coming and going.

My load back to Texas cancelled this morning so I bounced home being that I was close .
Called my broker and he said no problem I've got pipe out of Texas and eastern Ohio take your pick when your ready .
Checked out the new Columbia when I got home that I bought basically sight unseen and will make a good project truck as expected.
Been sitting in a dirt lot for 2 mos and cold as hell and she fired right up .
She will the hit the shop next week for a myriad of work while I run the classic till Xmas .

It's started to get BUSY for us out of OKC. Every customer we work with in the city are slammed, working overtime, shipping and receiving almost on a 24 hour basis. Haven't seen that in over a year. Most seem to be playing it close to the vest, with no or minimal hiring, so the folks are racking up overtime and stress.

We are doing a LOT of drive away for majors. They can't get enough drivers, so they contract with us. We need to hire about 10 drivers just for the drive away program and at least one or two drivers for running flatbed.

Sure is good to be busier than you can handle instead of sitting and going broke, huh? Lol. It sure can get stressful at times tho.

The prognosticators at RigData recently published a report predicting a steady 30% increase in drilling over the next year. I think the real thing will be after January, when budgets are set.

Well I just had an interview today to be a hot oiler. Interview went well. Pretty sure I nailed it. But . . . He's not Gunna make a decision till after thanksgiving or possibly Christmas. It's a great company to work for so I'll hold out for them till January if they don't call sooner. Plan was to wait till then anyways till my accident is 3 years old.

A hot oiler is a truck that uses a propane burner to heat fluids such as water for a frac or to clean wax out of the upper wellbore. I wouldn't think it would be a very busy job in OK as they stay fairly warm. In my neck of the woods this time of year hot Oilers and frac heaters make bank. My neighbor runs a fleet of frac heaters and gets something like 500 dollars an hour 24/7 for weeks on end plus the cost of propane and the cost of transporting the propane.

We use them for more. All I know is what I've been told 3rd hand. Sometimes there's too much water in the oil so we cook it off, they use the hot oiler trucks to kill wells for maintenance, heating up oil that's too cold to pump, cleaning out plugs between layers.

When I asked my spooler buddy what hot oilers do all he said is they sleep a lot.
