like leaking into the water? not likely. 99% of the time it is the oil cooler.

if it isn't real bad I wouldn't fool with that leak. is it leaking between the spacerplate and block toward the driverside front? I have a leak like that and it is just enough to wash the engine once a month. not enough to justify ripping the engine down to fix yet.

I can't believe it's both the cooler and head. I would think it's one or the other.
He must have changed the oil cooler and that wasn't the problem.
How did he test the head to find out it was leaking?
Is he just changing parts until he finds the problem?
Did you say what kind of motor you have?

Today i was in the shop to see what happened, to change the oil cooler you have to take off both turbos, after when everything was off, you can see the holes from the 6 cylinders, when you put you fingers inside the hole 3 was normal dark and 3 was little darker, it looked little more wet,=. Only my mechanic told me that this is not a big deal, this problem I like to fix this. In September when I have time and be 2 weeks outside the states, change the headgasket and put the head in the shop for repair. Excuse me for my bad mechanical explanation, I am not a mechanic. Thank you very much

two things cause a cylinder to be wet like you explained. piston rings getting worn out or broke. or valve guide seals going bad. also check the top turbo for wear I have had those leak oil back down into manifold and give the look of a wet cylinder.when not running.
