First thing you have to do is crawl under your truck and try to figure out where it’s coming from.Keep an eye on the dipstick. Also a quart of oil on the ground looks like a lot of oil.

Yes I did. Got under it and found where it is coming from. I’ve always had a leak but never had more than a few quarter sized drops under the truck. Now I get a little pool. Here is a picture of where it is coming from.

You'll have to take a can of brake cleaner and get rid of all the existing oil. Then check and see if it's coming from behind the bell housing or not.

Judging by the fact oil appears on the flywheel housing above that hole, I would start looking around the back of the head before I condem the rear main seal and pulling the transmission.

Looks like a Series 60 in there. Check the valve cover gasket around the back, especially where the cam sits. I seem to recall there's a little rubber half-puck that sits there and can start leaking.

I actually do have a leak coming from the back of my engine. Just had new injectors put in, don’t know if that’s something that my mechanic corrected while in there, I’m gonna ask. He told me once before it was coming from the rear main seal but to wait for when I needed a new clutch. I’m just more concerned now because of the bigger pool of oil underneath the truck.

As suggested above I'd clean it all off best you can and see if its coming out of the hole or trickling down from above and collecting on the edge of the hole since its the lowest point on the housing.

In my own opinion, that oil running down the side looks too fresh to be oil residue from a repair.

I had an injector installed several months ago. When they put the valve cover back on they caught a part of the big wire harness under the back corner of it and caused a leak exactly like what you have there. You probably just need to pull the valve cover off and make sure the gasket is seated and is good before reinstalling it to fix your leak.
