I work at OIX now doing Interstate. I can confirm what truckersolitude said in both posts. We get home every 14 days, to KC. Almost all weeks I get 3,000 miles or better on elog. Two interstate dispatchers who will work with you any way they can. We run a lot of Mass., CT., and ME out of KC area. I'm glad to answer questions but only expect to get on here about monthly. If you do the job at least fairly well and deliver on time then you just hear from them with a new load, to answer questions, and to confirm home-time requests. I hear that some people are not getting the miles I do but there seems to be equal treatment of drivers.
-
After considering miles more, I believe I get 2800 to 3500 m. most weeks. As of last week, they were recruiting drivers to work from the KC and Dallas areas only but that can change any week.

Don't walk away.!!! Run

So people are only supposed to post good things???? Where is equality. This company has gone to hell. Pretty sad when your desk drivers and road testers give you the best reviews.

Would you please take your unhappy self and go find another job, already? Or better yet, take a few million and start your own company. That way you can keep it from "going down hill", as you so aptly described. It's obviously not a good fit for you and your unhappiness is depressing me. Hurry.Jrdude5, Rocks and THE ROOKIE Thank this.

I read here it's forced dispatch and they go to Northeast a lot and sometimes NYC. Would like to know, how often do they go to NYC? Also read they leave from Kansas City, stay 14 days out and then go back to KC. Is it possible to stay out longer than that, like 2 to 3 months? I visited their website http://www.oixi.com/about-us/history-vision/
Then Google their address and got a satellite view and images of the company... Saw some of their trucks outside their fence and they are mid-roof / one bed style. Are all their trucks mid-roof?Last edited: Jul 4, 2013

Hey Jb17, thank you for the info... I sent you a looooong pm but it didn't go thru... I think your inbox and outbox are full... and my msg was lost. I HATE when that happens.
Also, the phone number you gave here for recruiting, although it's shown in the company's website for contact, is not in the company's office. It's a person's cell number... So, for those trying to reach them, call only during business hrs and not on a Holiday (like today) so not to interrupt their private time with their families and such.... I wish I knew that...Last edited: Jul 4, 2013
The Challenger and Jrdude5 Thank this. -
You can stay out longer. You may run so hard, that you want to take the breaks you're given. I never went to NYC with them. You can dial the main 800 number and get a recruting prompt. The cell phone is for them to multi task and pass the phone between people. The 2013 660's have one bed. I prefered the Prostar, but they phased them out.
The owner is a wonderful man. If I ever found myself back on the mainland, I'd make a beeline to OIX, as they treated me as good as my blood family.THE ROOKIE, Jrdude5 and Rocks Thank this. -
Honestopinion, You may post whatever garbage you want on here about the company but most of us that post on here know better. This is hands down the best otr job I have ever had. If you want to post your garbage their is a bad company section on here as well.
JohnBoy, Rocks, Jrdude5 and 1 other person Thank this.
