They must be following TMC's business plan.

This is such ########...man when I was in orientation I happen to be standing outside the hotel and was talking to someone who I didn't know who he was, but the guy told me the story behind the whole grass thing.

It's based on because back when Harold Annett was first building the terminal they had some grounds keepers that were wearing a dirt track on the the ground, Harold seen it and told the ground keeper to stop walking there because they were killing the grass, the guy in turn gave Harold lip and Harold had his ### fired for being a smart ###. Some other employees happened to see this and joked that the guy was fired for walking on the grass, and so goes the legend.

As I'm standing there listening,I asked the guy how he knew this, that he's been around for sometime. He said he had been that his name was Jeff and that he was vp of the training dept. Looking him up, he's been with tmc for going on 25 years. So setting as he's come from a drive to a vp, I think the man has some clout.

I never worked at TMC. But if you've ever been on a vacation at a place where part of the mailing address contains PISC, I figured you'd know the grass thing without even being told. Ive rarely walked on grass since then, unless it was meant to be walked on :-D

Well, I drive for Maverick, but I don't think you could go wrong with either company to start with....

I know a driver that works for TMC. He loves them. Home just about every weekend. Only complaint is the super slow truck but it is brand new, as he put it. He also does percentage pay. IMO, that's the only way to get paid.

Don't need a super fast truck to deliver a load that's due the following day.

Another thing to consider would be specialized freight. It's my understanding that TMC has the opportunity to run DD, mostly across the I-80 corridor.

Supposed to start with TMC Aug 25, the reason I chose them and not Maverick, was specifically I didn't want to drive an automatic transmission and lose my "skills" at driving a manual transmission. Also, the benefits are pretty good, and have spoken with some drivers from TMC. The ones I spoke to seem very happy, and that to me says a lot. Personally, think either of them are good companies to drive for, so it would be what best fits for you. Good Luck!
