The insurance game is really weird. I don't know if JB would charge on a case by case, because they are so BIG, or just one price for all.
I researched and knocked on a lot of doors for insurance looking at getting my own numbers. The very cheapest ( exceptional driving record ) was $10,500 for the first year. Some were as high as $14,000; most were around $12,000.
    Now,
The company I leased onto OTR that paid 80% charged me $400 month, and I had my own B/T $100 month, that's $6,000 year. That company wanted $200 month for B/T.
    OK NOW
My man I run super regional with, that everyone keeps pointing out I'm an idiot, NO I'M A ####ING IDIOT, paid $0.98 / mile plus the FSC loaded or empty ( all deadhead 10-4? Dig it? Skin? ) and he charged me $1600 year for everything. ####ing idiot make $90K to $100K and home on the weekend.

So, how is insurance figured, when you get the first hand experience with it, let me know so we both will.

On a separate note my bosses at Schneider are being pretty cool, I can't complain, just doesn't pay that much.
